Inspired by the art of Japanese gardening, the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “Rooted in Peace” is a premium take on the popular silhouette. Indigo-dyed denim appears on the toebox, heel, and side panels and Pale Vanilla suede overlays. Additional details include white sashiko embroidery horizontally on the hee, thicker, vertical embroidery on the side panels, and an embossed peace sign/mountain graphic on the lateral heel. Pine green accents representing foliage is applied on the toebox, tongue tag, and heel. Pins and special edition box included with the shoes sports a variety of short phrases overtop it: “Rooted In Peace,” “Positive Energy,” “For The Body, For The Mind, For The Earth,” and the characters “庭師ダンク” (Gardener Dunk).
The Nike Dunk Low “Rooted in Peace” is set for a tentative May 2021 release for $100 USD.
