Nike continues to work with Memphis Grizzles superstar Ja Morant amid his inevitable NBA suspension, revealing the cotton candy-like “Ember Glow” Ja 1.
It’s hot pink upper paired with a blue raspberry Swoosh surrounding the heel makes it impossible for you to miss. The tongue tabs alternate between light purple and blue, as does the number “12” stitched on the heel. Morant is phenomenal on the court, but he’s starting to build a track record of off-court issues. He was suspended indefinitely in March for holding a gun at a Denver nightclub, but the Grizzles welcomed him back after eight games. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver says he is waiting until the 2023 NBA Finals concludes to announce Morant’s latest suspension.
