The Nike Ja 1 “Midnight” Gets Iced Out

Ja Morantâ€s debut Nike signature is one for the ages; its pocket-friendly price point and story-filled designs make it one of the best debut signature shoes in quite some time. The signature is already gaining notoriety for its colorways, like the “Scratch” colorway that pays homage to the classic Vancouver Grizzlies jerseys. It ainâ€t all about the throwback looks, though, with the Ja 1 though. A new “Midnight” colorway has arrived with Swarovski crystals as a nod to the Memphis Grizzlies†iced-out City jerseys.  

The sneaker comes constructed with a black ballistic mesh with matching black overlays for an appropriately dark look. The signature wraparound Swoosh is decorated with Swarovski crystals to emulate the Pen n Pixel covers, the hip-hop culture of Memphis, and 12â€s love of ice. This colorway comes with additional “12 AM” lace dubraes and an icy Ja-branded hangtag. To complete the iced-out look is the matching icy, translucent sole with “It’s 12 AM somewhere” in Morantâ€s handwriting underfoot. The Nike Ja 1 “Midnight” is expected to release later this year via Nike and select retailers.
