Kevin Durant’s love for music is no secret. He’s been affiliated with several artists throughout his career, including a longtime friendship with Drake. KD has been namedropped on countless songs and even laid down a verse on Stalley’s “Scared Money” earlier this year. The Phoenix Suns star is now bringing his love for music into his signature Nike line for a second time. Following his KD15 collaborations with producers CardoGotWings, Boi-1da, and 9th Wonder in 2022, the two-time NBA champion tapped super producers Metro Boomin, the Alchemist, and Bink! to add their spin to the KD17.
The Metro Boomin x Nike KD17 uses a purple and black colorway with lightning details and nods to his late mother and Not All Heros Wear Capes album. The Alchemist’s pair features a Coconut Milk, Atomic Violet, and Hyper Grape colorway with his ALC Records logo on the tongue. The Bink! colorway pairs Sesame, University Gold, Rough Green, and Monarch with elevated materials like suede and corduroy. It features his signature and other imagery and text throughout.
The Nike KD17 “Producer Pack” release individually on June 14 at Nike and select retailers.
