If you look past all the hype, you’ll notice that Nike kept one of its best new sneaker designs for the final month of 2023. The Lunar Roam is a high-performance running shoe that has style crossover beyond the track. The inspiration for the model takes us back to the late 2000s and the introduction of Lunarlon foam but combines it with a look tailor-made for today. Since its inception, Lunarlon’s soft and durable cushioning has appeared across all Nike categories, including running, basketball, and lifestyle.
The debut “Alabaster” colorway uses a breathable engineered mesh upper with pops of slate green and grey and a bold yellow Lunar midsole. Kith doing its own editorial for the release suggests that Nike has big plans for the clean new silhouette in 2024. The “Alabaster” Nike Lunar Roam was released exclusively during Art Basel at Kith Miami on December 7 and gets a wider release on December 20 for $150.
