Spearheaded by the latest Nike Kyrie 6 N7, Nike’s N7 project has revealed its complete 2020 footwear collection consisting of the aforementioned Kyrie 6s, a Benassi Slide, Venture Runner, and Air Max 90. The entire capsule collection is inspired by North American Indigenous culture, informed in particular by the use of heritage plants and their roles in Indigenous healing methods.
The Kyrie 6 N7 references Kyrie Irving’s Lakota Sioux heritage, featuring a bright orange print with images of traditional Lakota Sioux quilting patterns atop a beige upper and hits of blue and green accenting across the laces and outsole. The two-toned, open-toed Benassi Slide is far more minimal, with its grey suede “N7” stamped upper and the sandal’s footbed done in a single shade of bright green. The Venture Runner features similar beige suede overlays as the Kyrie 6 but utilizes a colorful pink and green floral print across all other paneling. The heel counter also features a hit of bright pink to further accent the vintage-inspired runner. The classic Air Max 90 features the busiest design overhaul, however. A textured grey/black speckled suede adorns the side paneling, while the rest of the upper’s color palette dabbles in different shades of floral tones such as light pinks and green. Beige suede and a white mesh appear throughout the rest of the upper.
Complimentary apparel will also be dropping alongside the shoes including tracksuits, tees, and tank tops. The full collection launches June 21st on Nike.com.
