The upcoming Nike SB Dunk High Pro “Team Crimson” follows in the footsteps of 2011’s SB Dunk High “Cigar City” but looks to a different tobacco company for its design inspiration. Currently slated for a tentative July release, the “Team Crimson” model is also known as the “Philly Blunt” due to its colorway paying homage to the look of Phillies brand cigars and their packaging.
The same cream tones used on Phillies Blunt cigar boxes adorn the suede overlays of the “Team Crimson” while white, pebbled leather and fine leather are featured on the side paneling and toe box respectively. Furthermore, Crimson Red is used on the leather Swooshes and outsole in a similar fashion to the background of the Phillies logo. Blue text on the tongue and matching blue stitching on the outsole add an extra pop of color. Tobacco Brown is cleverly used on the padded sock liner and collar to complete the look. For fans of clever design and clean colorways alike, the Nike SB Dunk High Pro “Team Crimson” / “Philly Blunt” is great for any sneaker rotation.
