(Updated) Nike SB Dunk Low “Street Hawker” Inspired By Chinese Cuisine Releasing January 22nd

(UPDATE January 8, 2021): The Nike SB Dunk Low “Street Hawker” release has been delayed to Friday, January 22nd, 2021.

Nike SB has officially unveiled one of next year’s first special-edition Dunk Low projects, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Street Hawker”. Designed by artist Jason Deng from Guangzhou, China, the shoe is an ode to the country’s varied regional cuisines. In total, the shoe features 22 references in either the materials or colors based on six dishes from six different regions of China: shaved ice from Taipei, spicy hotpot from Chengdu, roast goose from Guangzhou, pita bread soaked in mutton soup from Xi’an, donuts from Beijing, and plain noodles from Shanghai. The shoe’s canvas overlays feature a watercolor collage of the aforementioned dishes done by Deng himself.

Take a look at the shoe in greater detail below and check out the full list of references ahead of its January 13th release date via Nike here.
