With Nike’s recent inaugural Space Hippie collection making waves throughout the sneaker world it was only a matter of time until we saw more colorways of the sustainable kicks. Following in the footsteps of the orange and grey-toned OGs, the Space Hippie 01, 02, 03, and 04 silhouettes are getting the Volt treatment with a release slated for later this July.
The four models will all release in their original construction but with a touch of Volt green flair added to them all in lieu of the familiar orange tones they debuted with. Every pair features the same light grey, speckled upper, and Volt green Swooshes boldly emblazoned atop them. The Space Hippie 01 has the most “normal” sneaker structure of the collection with its rope lacing and low profile, recycled yarn upper with the 04 following close behind albeit with a light blue midsole unlike its companions. Each sneaker dons a recycled foam midsole made from Nike Grind Rubber and recycled ZoomX foam material resulting in a multi-colored speckled texture that is unique to each pair. The 03 continues to be the highlight of the collection with its higher cut and the unique lacing system composed of bright orange and yellow gradient buckles and tightly wound threads. The 02 and its slip-on moccasin construction make it perfect for bright summer days or relaxing at home.
