Following the news of the Nike Kobe partnership renewal, the anticipation of the newest Kobe 6 Protro has been brewing. Official images of the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16” have officially surfaced, indicating that a release is closer.
The “Mambacita Sweet 16” colorway that honors both Kobe & Gigi will benefit the Mambacita Sports Foundation, with all of the shoe’s proceeds going towards the institution.
“With this new partnership, fans will soon be able to have access to Kobe and Gigi Nike product for years to come and with Nike donating 100% of the net proceeds yearly for Gianna’s shoes to our Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation (M&MSF). I am also grateful that Nike and I will work together to establish a youth basketball center in Southern California that will share the Mamba Mentality with youth athletes for generations to come.”
The Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16” is built with the signature snakeskin-like upper in all-black with white & gold details that celebrate both Kobe and Gigi. The Mamabcaita Sports Foundation logo and Gigi’s “2” are found on the heel & heel counter. A commemorative insole is also included in the design.
The Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16” releases on May 1 for $180, exclusively on SNKRS to coincide with Gigi’s 16th birthday. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
