In time for Latino Heritage Month, Por La Familia and HOLO have announced a new collaboration on the Zeus silhouette. The two Latino-owned brands came together to tell a story about a theme essential to both: family. The PLF version of the hiking shoe continues the colorway story introduced on PLF Founder Marky Lopez’s 2019 Nike Cultivator Air Max 1 collaboration. Inspired by the women who raised him, the Zeus uses pink to represent his mother, sister, and grandmother, green and red for his Mexican heritage, and gold as a tribute to El Salvador’s coat of arms.
HOLO Footwear was founded in 2020 by Latino couple Rommel Vega and Yuridia Rodriguez-Vega, who have a passion for the outdoors, sustainability, and accessibility. Since launching, HOLO has signed NBA player Isaac Okoro to a signature sneaker deal and recently added WNBA player Jacy Sheldon as a brand ambassador. They join a list of brands that have collaborated with PLF, including Nike, the Phoenix Suns, New Era, and Hat Club.
The Por La Familia x HOLO Zeus releases online at HOLOFootwearInc.com on November 9, 2024, at 8 a.m. Phoenix local time (MST) for $100 USD. The pair will also be available later that day at the PLF x HOLO pop-up at 1902 E. McDowell Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85006 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. local time.
