Puma and Rhuigi’s Second Capsule Is a Tribute to NYC

From Roc Nation brunches to Paris Fashion Week, Filipino-American designer Rhuigi Villaseñor has his fingerprints all over multiple industries these days. And you’ll recognize his brand, Rhude, on everyone from Jay-Z to your favorite NBA or NFL player’s walk-in tunnel flicks. In addition to his projects with Bally, Lamborghini, and Zara, the Los Angeles native has a longstanding relationship with Puma (peep the Roc ties). The duo’s second capsule pays homage to the Big Apple, with the editorial shot at Lenny’s Pizza.

As far as the designs, this is Rhuigi at his simplest but perhaps finest, expressing Americana through his eyes. What that translates to this time is a collegiate vintage collector’s perfect haul: a varsity jacket and vintage-looking sneakers. A classy green and cream colorway dresses the varsity jacket, double-layered hoodie, and Slipstream sneakers, along with “New York Worldwide” branding. In a time where most collaborations are doing too much, this one settles for classic Ws.

Retailing for $120 – $400, the PUMA x Rhuigi capsule will be available February 18, at PUMA.com, the PUMA mobile app, the PUMA NYC flagship store, and select accounts worldwide.
