PUMA and Emory Jones Celebrate 50 Years of Hip-Hop With Mixtape Collection

To celebrate Hip-Hop’s 50th birthday, PUMA, Roc-Nation Co-Founder Emory Jones, and footwear designer Alexander John came together for a Mixtape Collection. The apparel and footwear pay homage to the mixtape and its impact on hip-hop culture and beyond. Three colorways of the PUMA RS-XL were created based on different mixtape formats: cassettes, CDs, and playlists.

Each shoe features an “LGT Tag,” an NFC-powered chip from Legitimate, that unlocks exclusive content, weekly mixtape drops, and access to life behind the scenes as a Roc Nation artist. To unlock the exclusive, unreleased music and more from Roc Nation, tap your phone to the tongue of the RS-XL sneaker. The PUMA Mixtape Collection retails for $35-$130 and is available on Friday, July 14, exclusively online and in-store at Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Champs Sports Canada.
