Like its chocolatey predecessor, this effort is inspired by James Whitnerâ€s experience with the summer ‘free lunch†program. “Free lunch was the journey every summer that started our day…the first thing everybodyâ€s thinking is, ‘Yo, Free Lunch is opening. Letâ€s go eat,” Whitner described on Behind the Design on the Nike SNKRS App. More than a sneaker, this collab is culture. It evokes memories and emotion on sight and thatâ€s what itâ€s all about.
