Rockets’ PJ Tucker Is Opening His Own Sneaker Shop in October

While the NBA is currently on hiatus in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Houston Rockets’ center PJ Tucker took to Instagram Live to reveal plans to open his own sneaker shop. Tucker is a well-known sneakerhead and fashion enthusiast, his attention-grabbing pre-game Tunnel Walk outfits serve as proof.

“The Better Generation” will open in Houston sometime in October. The store will stock a variety of brands’ footwear and apparel, as well as host its own limited-edition capsules with brand collaborations already in the works. “It goes hand in hand”, Tucker says, regarding the natural chemistry between the worlds of basketball and that of sneakers. While an exact retail location has yet to be revealed Tucker hopes that The Better Generation will prove to be a cultural touchstone in the city’s ever-expanding sneaker community, his only hope being to incite  “more activity” amongst the city’s heads.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
