sacai Auctions Off One Of A Kind Nike LDWaffle Sneakers For COVID-19 Charity

Two pairs of customized, one-of-a-kind Nike sacai Nylon LDWaffles have just been put up for auction in order to raise funds for COVID-19 relief efforts.

sacai is the latest brand to partner up with La Mode S’engage‘s Fashion Charity Auction, an online auction featuring unique items from a wide array of the world’s most renowned brands and designers. sacai’s founder Chitose Abe has contributed to the auction with two pairs of Nike sacai Nylon LDWaffle in both black and white. These are the same sneakers that released in early March but feature embroidered text on the upper and matching double laces.

“Protege Ton Soignant” is hand-embroidered in a dark blue thread just above the right shoe’s double-stacked, lateral Swooshes. Currently sitting at a price of €10,050 (~$11,000 USD), 100% of proceeds will go towards La Mode S’engage’s Protege Ton Soignant initiative which aims to purchase medical equipment for French caregivers immediately.

Other items being auctioned off currently include 1/1 pieces by Bode, Alyx Studios, Comme des Garcons, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, and more.
