sacai and the Swoosh are bringing back the VaporWaffle this year. Following the “Sesame” and “Dark Iris” drops from 2021, Chitose Abe’s renowned label has another set of colorways. In addition to the upcoming sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Black Gum” iteration, a polar-opposite “Sail” version is coming soon (despite already releasing early at a few retailers).
The upcoming sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Sail” dons a white mesh upper with sail details and suede overlays for a clean finish. Much like the “Black Gum” version, the upcoming “Sail” iteration is completed with a classic gum bottom. Signature sacai x Nike details such as double tongues, laces, Swooshes, and enlarged midsole arrive on the pair with sacai and Nike branding found throughout the rest of the shoe.
The sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Sail” releases March 10 for $180 on SNKRS and select retailers. As always, our monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
