During Paris Fashion Week, Salehe Bembury, one of the most popular sneaker collaborators today, unveiled a new color of the New Balance 1906R.
Bembury and New Balance have several successful collaborations under their belts thus far. Their first sneaker, Salehe Bembury x New Balance 2002R “Peace Be The Journey,” was released in October 2020 and was followed by its sister shoe, the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 2002R “Water Be The Guide.” Since then, the two have produced the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 990v2 “Sand Be The Time” and multiple colors of the New Balance 574 “Yurt.”
New Balance aside, Bembury has developed quite the portfolio with other footwear companies, including Vans and Crocs, where he serves as the creative director for the Crocs x Pollex Pod collection.
