Sneaker Release Recap August 22 – 27

As the month of August winds down, the heat is speeding up. This week marked the release of A Ma Maniere’s Nike Air Ship that was limited to 2,300 pairs, JJJJound’s collaboration with ASICS, and an Air Jordan 3 remarkably similar to the ones Kobe Bryant wore during his sneaker free agency. Here’s a look at everything that dropped and restocked this past week.

FCFS (first come, first serve) Release Shoutouts

  • Yeezy Slide Flax: Well Stocked but highly in demand and sold out. Bigger stores like Shoe Palace, JD Sports, Finishline, Hibbet, and Dicks Sporting Goods averaged around 1000 adult pairs, while some smaller boutiques hovered around 50-100 pairs. The confirmed app provided the most stock and is still worth entering for Slides and Foam Runner releases.
  • Jordan 3 ‘Iris’: Straight Forward cop and still in stock at most retailers.
  • Supreme Week 1: The site was closed until the drop; this is normal for Supreme’s first drop of a new season. The most sought-after items were the André 3000 T-Shirts, Catwoman T-Shirts, Supreme Beanie Baby, and the Supreme Box Logo T-Shirt Skate Deck. Items started to sell out after 46.6 seconds, with the André 3000 T-Shirts and Supreme Beanie Baby selling out in 120 seconds. Some sizes and colors of the Catwoman T-Shirt and the Supreme Box Logo T-Shirt Skate Deck are still in stock. No extra bot protection was added to product pages as we’ve seen on other Supreme drops, but overall the drop went very smoothly, making for a fairly easy cop even on the most sought-after items.
  • Air Max Penny 1 ‘Home’: Sold out on most sites that dropped but still in stock at a few. Bigger stores saw 150+ pairs while smaller stores got around 50-70 pairs.
  • YCMC x New Balance 990v3: One of the first password-protected drops we’ve seen on YCMC. The site operated smoothly, and pairs were fully sold out after 150.64 seconds. Individual sizes restocked throughout the day.
  • Patta x Air Max 1: Password-protected secret site drop with hCaptcha bot protection. The site operated very smoothly, and queue times in the first minute averaged around 5 minutes. Most sizes sold out after 30 minutes.
  • A Ma Maniere Air Ship: Dropped through https://www.a-ma-maniere.com/ instead of a secret site. Password protected and used hCaptcha. The site was very slow throughout the drop, and pairs sold out within the first 5 minutes. However, restocks started appearing on our monitors shortly after and continued for about an hour. Pairs that were purchased on these restocks were instantly canceled.
  • JJJJound x Asics: 2 separate drops for both colorways. White/White dropped at 11:00 AM EST, and the White/Black colorway dropped at 12:00 PM EST. Both Password protected drops with questions that had to be answered to add the shoes to cart. The site was cleared, so only the shoes were available to purchase. The White/White drop saw no queue times, which made for a pretty easy drop. All sizes of the White/White sold out in 250 seconds. The question to add to cart was “What country was Asics founded in?” with the answer being “Japan.” White/Black drop saw very short queue times, and all sizes sold out in 267.16 seconds. The question to add to cart was “What country was JJJJound founded in with the answer being “Canada”

Restocks

  • Canary Yellow restocked the Off-White x Jordan 2 Low ‘White Red’ on Wednesday, August 24. While the restocks have been happening randomly, we expect the Off-White Jordan 5 ‘Black’ and the Off-White Converse to restock on the site at some point as both shoes have been loaded as OOS on display at the Canary Yellow website as of August 19th. This is normally how they’ve been posting shoes before they restock, although the time they could restock is still unknown.

Drop Monitor Keywords

  • “Off-White” to prepare for any surprise restocks Canary Yellow may have for Off-White x Nike collabs.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
