SNKRS Account: Important Tips, Account Verification and Customer Tracking

Nike sent out a round of notifications today for SNKRS accounts asking people to re-verify their phone numbers. They have been doing this more often now because they are trying to stop users from creating mass accounts with bulk phone numbers bought online. Nike is really clamping down on this, they know all the jigs and what people are doing and have put systems in place to stop it.

My recommendation now is the same as it has been for the past few months. Use one account and be active with it. Like releases, view notifications when they send them to you (ie that stuff about sneakers to buy this week), set release reminders, view stories in SNKRS, use your Nike app to shop, login anytime you buy anything online and get your Nike+ account scanned when you shop in-store or at outlets. I also say this dead serious: if you work out/exercises use the Nike run app to track your work outs.

Nike’s system is studying accounts and learning who is an active, real person shopping with them and who is a dead account only logged in during a high heat release. They are mass filtering out accounts they don’t like.

While this isn’t a guaranteed path to success, it does matter…trust me.

Engage with Nike on one account. If you made your wife/significant other an account, start logging into theirs regularly as well.
