UPDATE: Congratulations to The Whitaker Group for winning the 2023 Best Video Campaign Webby Award for the Playground/Recess” short film that introduced the story of the Social Status & Nike collaboration on the Nike Air Penny franchise.
The Whitaker Group is well known for the storytelling that comes along with its coveted collaborations. Last year, Social Status introduced its Nike Air Penny 1 and 2 designs through a series of short films titled Playground and Recess. The nostalgia-fueled short films continue the Free Lunch storyline that won a 2022 People Choice Webby Award for Best Video Campaign. Playground and Recess tell a coming-of-age story that touches on several social issues and illustrates the role sneakers and sports can play in one’s upbringing. Now, Social Status and Whitaker Group look to go back to back for another People’s Choice Webby Award. You can vote for the campaign here.
