Social Status Prohibits Camping for Upcoming Releases

Retailers like Social Status are doing everything they can to ensure sneakers land safely in the hands of consumers. As the task grows larger with every release, retailers are adapting to the best of their abilities.

Social Status has announced that no camping will be allowed at its location. Though the practice has been in place for previous releases, the upcoming Social Status x Nike Dunk “Chocolate Milk” release has sparked the message to be further emphasized.

The adjustment is meant to keep customers safe and respect the neighboring retailers and the community at large.

“NO CAMPING is permitted at any location under any circumstance. Camping out will automatically disqualify you from obtaining a chance to purchase said shoe,” mentions the Instagram caption. “For all releases, lining up will start at 11AM for all locations EXCEPT our Social Status Atlanta boutique. No Camping or lining up will be permitted at our Social Status Atlanta boutique.”

Campouts were a tradition shared by sneakerheads during the glory days of collecting but with new challenges and dangers, Social Status is exploring new and safer alternatives for sneaker releases.
