The Nike x Social Status Attack collection continues with a “Social Currency” colorway and a new episode of the ‘The 1st & 15th’ video series. For the 2nd of 4 colorways in the series, the revived 90s tennis model comes to life with a premium white cracked leather upper with suede details and a 3M reflective layer, Pine Green nylon finishes on the Swoosh and ankle collar, and heel foxing that reveals a surprise varsity chenille Orange color underlay below the lining. The tongue and insole feature the Social Status x Nike special project and A list of all Social Status locations. The sneakers come packaged in a special edition bodega-inspired shoe box, paper liner, and extra shoe laces kit connecting to the story.
The “Double or Nothing” episode of “The 1st & 15th” story follows young Q, his snacks hustle, and his journey to a coveted prize. The story is directed by Carolina-based storytellers and creators Loyd Visuals and draws the analogy to the universal economic cycle felt across people, communities, and social classes.
The Social Status x Nike Attack “Social Currency” will be accessible via Local Priority Access at every Whitaker Group store and a Global General Raffle on the Social Status website starting on 8.14. On 8.25, the pair will officially launch in-store and online exclusively from Social Status, available for global access and shipping.
