SOLEcial Studies CommUNITY Academy (SSCA) Opens In Brooklyn

SOLEcial Studies, the sneaker industry education program founded in 2011, announced today that it has partnered with Heeling Profits (501c3) to open the SOLEcial Studies CommUNITY Academy (SSCA) in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. The SSCA’s mission is to educate and empower more people to learn about and actively seek out careers in the sneaker industry, particularly in the more corporate, non-creative areas. Over 100 alumni from the program now work in the sneaker and fashion industries, and its curriculum has expanded to include courses about intellectual property (IP), business networking, Web 3 technology, and NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness).

In addition to Obsessive Sneaker Disorder (OSD) and SOLEcial Studies founders Sean Williams and Dee Wells and Heeling Soles, the SSCA is also backed by world-renowned DJ, music producer, and composer Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest).
