With last month’s successful Stüssy x Nike Spiridon Caged 2 pack kickstarting a resurgence in OG Spiridon colorways, the streetwear heavyweights are back at it again. Now opting for the understated Nike Kukini as their next canvas, Stussy is applying many of the same stylistic elements from their Spiridon Caged 2.
While we await official images, leaked images reveal the white, polka-dotted upper of the Kukini covered in a translucent white caging, but without a corresponding lacing system. Intended as a casual slip-on pair of kicks, the ankle opening is extended in a diagonal fashion allowing for smooth entry, while an encapsulated Zoom Air unit in the heels allows for a more comfortable fit.
Nike Air branding is applied on each heel, while Stüssy’s classic logo emblazoned on the tongue of each foot reminds you where this unique design stems from.
