.SWOOSH wants you to “Quit the Rage” with their Total 90 SP

One cannot call themselves a gamer if they have not once quit a game in frustration.

Rage quitting is a rite of passage in the world of gaming. The times when the only solution is leaving an intense match-up out of frustration. Unfortunately for many gamers, though, the act of leaving is simply not enough. Sometimes those same electronics that connected us to the world of gaming have to pay the price of our skill issues.

.SWOOSH would like us to reconsider those feelings with their latest sneaker, the Total 90 SP “Quit the Rage”.

The sneaker is meant to channel the feelings of clarity that come post rage. The embarrassment, and shame, that comes with shattering your favorite controller. The black and green colorblocking feels very familiar to gaming- be it because it is reminiscent to the classic Xbox colors or the sips of Mountain Dew between Call of Duty lobbies. But it is actually inspired by the guts of a game controller. The pops of green found throughout the .SWOOSH Total 90 represent the circuitboards that kept that controller connected to your console and to the world.

The Total 90’s comeback has been a welcomed one in the sneaker space. The historic boot line’s transition from the pitch to the pavement has been a key factor to the flat shoe trend currently bubbling up in the world of sneakers. Though some may groan at the boot #bootsonlysummer memes, the reality is there is a demand for soccer adjacent shoes in the market. Brands outside of Nike are currently capitalizing on this trend, but it’s Nike’s return to the Total 90 that has lead the pack.

The “Quit the Rage” Total 90 capitalizes on this trend in the cheeky way that has come to be expected from the team over at .SWOOSH. Their playful, yet honest, way of sharing the stories around the world of gaming have translated well into some of the best sneakers of 2025. Wether it be the stories that defined a generation of games, or the more embarrassing stories of destroying your controller in a fit of rage, .SWOOSH tells them in hopes of continuing to bridge together sneakerheads and gamers.

As far as the guts of the sneaker are concerned, the “Quit the Rage” Total 90 features the patented, ball control focused, quilted upper in black. The aforementioned nostalgic green compliments the black upper and is tied together by an off-white midsole, a first for the Total 90 since it has returned. Also a first for the sneaker is the never-before-seen shattered T90 logo found along the medial side of the sneaker. Finally, the sneaker features a hidden message on the insole meant to remind gamers to take it chill.

.SWOOSH has taken an iconic boot to make their latest nod to our love of video games, and our inability to sometimes regulate our emotions. The ‘Quit the Rage’ Total 90 SP drops on Tuesday, June 17th, in select stores and on SNKRS in the US and Europe. It will retail for $110 in US Men’s sizing 3.5-15.
