We’re super excited to announce a new monthly Zoom event for SoleSavy members, especially since the pandemic has taken away opportunities for us to meetup in person.
The After Hours Show with SoleSavy will be hosted by Alex Wong who is a SoleSavy member and has been a panel guest and host at our Toronto weeekups, as well as writing for our features section and co-hosting “After The Last Dance” podcast with Russ Bengtson. You also might know Alex from the Internet as steven lebron. He covers the Toronto Raptors for Yahoo Sports and co-hosts a YouTube NBA show. Alex is also, in his words, “lowkey trying to stay relevant and cool as a 36-year-old ” and writes about sneakers, fashion and pop culture for places like GQ, Grailed, HighSnobiety and other places.
Along with some special guests, Alex is going to talk about everything from Travis Scott collaborating with every single brand in the world, why he sold all his Yeezys and Kawhi Leonard making the biggest mistake of his life when he signed with the Clippers.
We’ve also got prizes to giveaway and most importantly: we want to hear from you, the members, during the event. So have your favorite sneaker pick-up stories of the year ready and keep your sneakers nearby in case we pick you to show off your collection! (And if you have any questions you want to ask @DP , get those ready too).
