Sotheby’s, one of the premier auction houses in America, is offering 23 pairs of the rare Christopher Wallace Air Jordan 13. The sneaker honors the legacy of Brooklyn’s finest, the Notorious B.I.G, and was originally created back in 2017 in celebration of Biggie’s 45th birthday. With 2023 being indicative of the Jordan Year, it’s only right for 23 pairs of the sneaker to be auctioned off in partnership with Jordan Brand and the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation.
The silhouette features a black suede base with reflective black overlays. The sneaker is packed to the brim with details and homages to the great MC, including his image embroidered on the tongue, a red and black flannel pattern on the sock liner, and insoles. Other details include iconic lines from his song “Juicy” on the inner tongue tag “if you don’t know now you know” and “it was all a dream” on the left and right tags, respectively. Completing the look is the word “dream” on the aglets.
The Air Jordan 13 x Christopher Wallace is up for auction now via Sotheby’s.
