ASICS and Awake NY’s founder and creative director Angelo Baque have announced The ASICS Collective — a compilation of creatives who will bring their vision and art to life with the help of ASICS in the upcoming months.
The group includes notable names as the inaugural class of four looks to make their presence felt in a new light. Denim Tears’ Tremaine Emory, BornxRaised’s Spanto, Procell’s Jess Gonsalves, and photographer Renell Medrano will lead the way.
“This project is an opportunity for me to bring some of my closest friends together and challenge them to design something new, something outside of their general wheelhouse,” Baque said. “Tremaine, Spanto, Jess, and Renell are all members of my creative community. They continuously push boundaries in their respective industries and serve as inspirations for me in my own life. I’m excited for everyone to see their ideas come to fruition.”
With the ASICS Denim Tears x ASICS collection being the first to release, Spanto, Gonsalves, and Medrano will have their collaborative SAICS release throughout the course of 2022.
