The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 is coming back next year in an OG colorway. Originally released in 1996 for star MLB player Ken “The Kid” Griffey Jr. and then retro’d in 2016, this release will help a new generation of sneakerheads and OG fans alike a chance to cop the unique, baseball oriented Air Max shoe.
The Nike Air Griffey Max features a full-length Air unit that is partially exposed through the white, Air Max 95-esque midsole. The leather upper is done in a Black base with a White streak across the lateral side that extends back into the heel portion. A medium-sized Swoosh is stiched onto the forefoot in Black while a smaller, rotated Swoosh can found each heel. “24” branding in White can be fonud on the lateral sides of the buckle locking ankle collar as well as some Teal Blue accents across the tongue and heel to complete the look. Stay tuned to SoleSavy for updates on exactly when these retro kicks will arrive next year.
