Under Armour’s Curry 2 “Chef Curry” Returns With a Bit More Sauce

Under Armour Curry 2 FloTro Chef Curry

Sneakerheads may remember way back in 2016 when Under Armour revealed the Curry 2 “Chef Curry” only to become the butt of heaps of memes. It was a curious choice to give such a plain sneaker a name with any connotations of cooking, and matters were only made worse when Steph was advised by both his agent and general manager to not wear the shoe during the NBA Finals for fear of injuring his ankles.

Seven years later, the Curry Brand is giving it another go with the Curry 2 FloTro “Chef Curry.” As the name suggests, the retro’d sneaker returns with upgraded tech, namely the same cushioning from the Curry Flow 10. The all-white color scheme that originally drew labels of “dad shoe” in the worst connotation is gone, too, as a sort-of seared gradient sits on the toe and fades to white across the upper and midsole. Orange speckles on the tongue bring an additional dash of seasoning, and at the very least, everyone should be able to agree that the Curry 2 FloTro surpasses the low bar of its predecessor.

No joke, the Curry 2 FloTro is slated for release April 1 through Under Armour and select other retailers. Pricing has yet to be announced, so download the DROPS by SoleSavy app as we provide you with any and all updates.
