Upcoming Nike Air Presto “Origins” Pays Homage To Original 2000s Ad Campaign

The upcoming Nike Air Presto “Origins” is both an ode to an era of impeccable Nike advertising and as well as a well-designed product in its own right. The shoe takes the early 2000s ad campaign by then Nike designer Monica Taylor and applies its ethos to every aspect of the shoe. Once advertised as the “t-shirt for your feet”. Taylor’s campaign took each colorway of the Presto and gave it a unique name and a matching cartoon character. For the 2020 “Origins” Presto. The shoe’s upper is composed of a collage featuring all the Presto characters. Both left and right pairs feature The upper of the Presto “Origins” features every character from the original campaign in a mismatched pattern. Translucent caging and white laces allow all the focus to be on the colorful graphics.
