Upcoming Nike iSPA Overbreak References Tom Sachs Mars Yards

Visual artist Tom Sachs’ NikeLab Mars Yards rank among the best – and rarest – Nike collaborations of all time but as time goes on they become more and more expensive on the aftermarket. While the OGs and 2.0s are unattainable for most, Nike’s innovative iSPA subline has prepared a futuristic lookalike in the form of their upcoming Overbreak model.

The DNA of the Nike iSPA Overbreak is based off the recently reissued Nike Daybreak, a classic 20th-century silhouette to which iSPA applies their unique brand of techwear inspired design. Using the exact same color blocking as the Mars Yards, the upper appears to be a mixture of both premium nubuck and smooth leather while the midsole screams iSPA, using the same exaggerated, patterned REACT foam midsole that adorns the recent OverReact silhouette. Even the two-toned rope laces look like they’d be a perfect fit on Sachs’ coveted runners.
