What’s Coming To SoleSavy in October

Iâ€ve been head down the past two weeks pushing the team forward on a bunch of different things at SoleSavy that I want to update everyone on…this post is a long one.

1. Collect by SoleSavy
We are nearing closer and closer towards the beta launch of our peer to peer marketplace that weâ€re calling Collect. The goal is to help you manage your collections and help grow it through what is the only platform to allow you to buy, sell AND trade your new and used sneakers. This will be members only! This is an insanely massive project and we want to crawl before we walk and run with this. In the next couple of weeks we will begin the process to test with members before formulating a roll out plan. Members will not pay any fees to SoleSavy to use this platform! Lots to come here!

2. Assist by SoleSavy
We are stuck in approval hell with Google, they are taking their sweet time to give us the green light to launch this to members. As soon as it is live in the Chrome extension store we are going to launch it. In the meantime the team is working on an update to improve it so we can quickly follow with an updated extension once the original is approved. The purpose of this tool is to make your checkout experience faster and smoother and we will continue to build on it from there.

3. Dashboard, Raffle & Release Management
The October roadmap has the engineering team focused on our member dashboard which will include everything you need once you login on web and our new release and raffle systems. The goal is to make consuming our information as simple and easy as possible on desktop and mobile as well. On top of that, raffles are a pain in the ass. We want to make this as close to 1 tap to enter a raffle as possible by simplifying the flow and saving you as much time as possible. I expect to deliver this product and the various features to members by the end of October.

4. SoleSavy Social Token
This may seem foreign to a lot of folks but hear me out….One of the biggest requests from members has been around how do we reward the most active, loyal and trusted members for their contributions to the community and for making it the awesome place it is. Iâ€m confident the key to this is our own social token that lives on the blockchain. There is a lot of dynamics in play here but it will allow us to reward our best members and allow you to reward people who help you (assists, retail hook ups, picking up a raffle win, whatever it might be, etc). One thing to keep in mind is the token system will be delivered to members based on their length of membership. If you have been here 3 years, you will receive the most tokens and in turn have access/perks etc that someone who joined a month ago would not have but could earn by being awesome. This is somewhat uncharted territory on the web but we are excited to champion this. We will start with delivering tokens to members and then work with the community on structure from there.

5. The SS3 sneaker
The SS3 is designed collectively by 180+ SoleSavy members and I have to hand it to them this shoe is looking incredible so far. This is not a Nike sneaker. Itâ€s based on a vibram sole with a custom designed upper by the members. We are currently narrowing in on colors and materials. I expect to show this to all members by the end of October once we have the first sample and then take pre-orders. The shoe will be under $250. Info on the SS4 is going to follow shortly after :eyes:

6. Slack Premium
We are working with Slack right now on a plan to upgrade and unlock pro features across all SoleSavy communities and what that means for members as far as features outside of connecting various channels (ie. size14). Iâ€m optimistic we can start this process in a few weeks but stay tuned! Your membership price will not change.

7. RopeLaceSupply 70% Off Code
The RLS shipment is coming in Oct 15th with new inventory which is why weâ€ve been waiting to run this promo with them. We both wanted to make sure there would be laces to sell. This promotion will not go live on October 25th for 24 hours. We will provide notice ahead of this drop.

We are hard at work building more product, partnerships and value opportunities for members. I want a SoleSavy membership to be something that unlocks a wonderful world of experiences for people who love sneakers.

October is going to be an incredibly exciting month, itâ€s taken us a the summer months to ramp up and get up to speed on the next chapter of SoleSavy. October is the month where we start to deliver on a lot of things and that will continue on through the rest of the year and onwards.
