Why don’t we have SNKRS yet? When will Canada get SNKRS? Is SNKRS ever coming? This is a question we see frequently asked and with Nike.ca recent online troubles we figured now was the best time to provide everyone with an update.
In early July we sat down with the Nike team from Europe to discuss a variety of subjects including the trouble the site has had the past two months with new release launches. While there is a separate update coming for that, the one thing that came out of that discussion was that Nike is expediting the launch of SNKRS in Canada.
The initial plan was for SNKRS to debut in Canada (and 20 other countries) in 2019. The plan has now changed to aiming to launch SNKRS for Web in Canada before the end of the year, and hopefully in time for the Holiday rush. This means you would not have access to the app, but you would be able to use your Nike.ca login to use SNKRS on any desktop or mobile browser.
That timeline is still not confirmed and pending but we will hear more from Nike when we speak to them again in late August. For now, they are aware the troubles everyone is experiencing and are working actively to fix them.
