adidas Basketball takes a trip down memory lane by bringing back the “Core Black” adidas Top Ten 2010 from Kobe Bryant’s rookie season.
The Black Mamba’s NBA career and sneaker deal with adidas started in 1996. Throughout the 1996-97 NBA season, Bryant, the newest addition to the adidas family, helped popularize the adidas Top Ten that was part of the adidas Basketball‘s Feet You Wear series.
Decades later, adidas lets fans channel their Mamba Mentality with the “Core Black” adidas Top Ten worn by Kobe Bryant. Since the adidas Top Ten falls under the previously mentioned Feet You Wear line, you’ll find Freddy the Foot on the heel as well as an embroidered adidas Equipment patch on the tongue. Black pebbled leather covers the mudguard with a flash of silver traveling from the heel to the toebox. adidas opted to outline the black Three Stripes with white.
Bryant was also the face of the adidas Crazy 97 EQT, another silhouette under the aforementioned collection, largely due to his performance in the 1997 Dunk Contest.
An official release date for the adidas Top Ten 2010 “Core Black” is not confirmed, but we know the retail price will be $150. If you’re a die-hard Lakers fan, check out the Los Angeles-inspired silhouette releasing this year.
