The Air Jordan 9 “Olive Concord” Tweaks the Original

The Air Jordan 9 is one of the more underrated Jordan silhouettes in MJ’s storied signature line, mostly due to his retirement from basketball at the time.

However, the sneaker has a myriad of colorways that became hits in their own right, like the Beef and Broccoli colorway that caught fire thanks to the sneaker’s boot-like construction combined with the Timberland-esque colorway. Another colorway that gained popularity is the similar Olive colorway released in 1994 and last seen in 2012.

The colorway is getting a slight remix with the upcoming Air Jordan 9 “Olive Concord.” The sneaker features a black leather base with olive-colored nubuck overlays. The only difference to the original colorway is the color change to the red accents on the tongue branding, Jumpman on the midsole, and heel tab and accompanying branding to purple. Hints of teal surround the wax stamp-like badge on the heel and embroidered 23 underneath. A black sole unit completes the look.

The Air Jordan 9 “Olive Concord” releases on January 7 via Nike and select retailers for $200.
