Aritzia has been a favorite amongst women looking for affordable luxury for years, and recently the Vancouver-based brand has been increasing its footwear and men’s offering. In 2021, it acquired fellow Vancouver brand Reigning Champ and now also stocks a curated footwear selection from other brands, including New Balance and ASICS. Its collaboration with ASICS comes on one of the “it” shoes of the moment, the GEL-KAYANO 14. The collaboration features three unisex colorways, White/Leprechaun, White/Black, and Blanc De Blanc/Blanc De Blanc.
This tasteful execution was led by Ariztia’s Head of Special Projects, Gemo Wong. Wong is an industry veteran, including nearly two decades at Nike and Jordan Brand, where he was head of NRG and played a role in some of the Jumpman’s best collaborations of all time, including Off-White, DIOR, KAWS, Travis Scott, and more. Wong also co-designed the SoleSavy 4 (SS4).
