Best Air Jordan Releases of January 2023

Jordan Brand has been on a scorching hot run in 2022. They’ve released a ream of colorways, including a large collection of the underrated Air Jordan 2s and the return of the Air Jordan 1 “Lost and Found.” JB isn’t resting on its laurels after the holiday season, however, and they’re already gearing up to drop more heat at the start of 2023. 

AJ 9 ‘Olive Concord’

The Air Jordan 9 ‘Olive,’ originally released in 1994, is one of the underrated silhouette’s most famed colorways. The popular colorway is getting a slight remix for 2023, with the red accents originally found on the colorway having been switched for a purple hue.

2023 marks the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3, one of His Airness’ most popular silhouettes of all time. To honor the sneaker, Jordan Brand is remixing the Air Jordan 1 with the color blocking of one the most iconic AJ3s ever, the “True Blues.”

Jordan 5 ‘Aqua’

Chris Paul and Jordan Brand have been at it forever, and now one of Chris Paul’s classics is hitting the market. The Air Jordan 5 PE Paul wore during his days with the New Orleans Hornets is getting a GR remix that is essentially the same, albeit without Chris Paul’s 3 embroidered on the lateral heels like the PE.

AJ XX23 ‘Year of the Rabbit’

It’s been some time since we’ve seen the Air Jordan XX3 and there’s no better time to bring it back thant 2023. The sneaker is joining the upcoming “Year of the Rabbit” collection and is getting an appropriately rabbit-themed make up with intricately embroidered leather uppers.

AJ 5 WMNS ‘Dunk on Mars’

The Air Jordan 5 is getting a special colorway just for the ladies inspired by the Red Planet and the iconic Mars Blackmon character portrayed by legendary director Spike Lee. The sneaker features a dusty red suede upper that mimics the 3rd planet from the Sun and worn details to give it a well-traveled vibe.

Union x AJ 1 KO Low 

Union and Air Jordan are reportedly back at it with a fresh new take on the Air Jordan 1 KO Low. The sneaker is a mostly white affair with interchangeable Swooshes and sporadic yellow stitching throughout.
