Nike and the legendary HBCU Clark Atlanta University are teaming up for a Nike Dunk Low collaboration. The Nike Dunk Low was once the team shoe for colleges and was made popular by its “Be True” collection that celebrated the Nike schools at the time and this silhouette harkens back to that era.
The left sneaker features a light gray leather base with black overlays while the right sneaker features the reverse with a black leather base and light gray overlays creating a unique mismatched look. Both sneakers are tied together with details including red on a thin strip on the midsole and matching swooshes, sockliner, and heel branding.
The school’s motto “FIND A WAY OR MAKE ONE” is repeated all over the laces. More nods to the school include “Clark College” on the backside of the tongue, and “1988” embroidery on the he1el referencing the year that Clark College and Atlanta University merged to form Clark Atlanta University. The look is completed by Panther logos on the tongue and the translucent outsole.
A release date for the CAU Athletic x Nike Dunk Low has been set for October 11 via Nike and select retailers.
