CLOT and Converse Celebrate the Giant Panda

Edison Chenâ€s CLOT has been on a collaborative tear this year working with Jordan Brand twice on the Jordan 5 Low and the Jordan Delta 2 and Timberland on the 3-Eye Lug Handsewn Boat shoe inspired by the dragonâ€s importance in Chinese culture. This time, the Hong Kong-based brand is linking up with Converse to honor another Chinese icon – the giant panda. The giant panda is the national mascot of China and the perfect theme for the Converse Chuck 70 and Converse Jack Purcell.

“The giant panda is something that we relate to, obviously because of our Chinese heritage and culture. Being able to do something to give love and gain awareness for Panda in response to WWFâ€s International Panda Day in China is very important and a part of the new CLOT aesthetic, which is loving and trying to preserve the earth so that the future can enjoy its beauty,” says CLOT Founder and Creative Director Edison Chen.

Both pairs in the collection feature an upper with a blend of real and faux fur and black and white accents to emulate the majestic creature. The ice blue outsole with bear paw print graphics underneath completes the look of both. The Clot x Converse Chuck 70 and Jack Purcell “Panda” collection is set to release on November 11th at Juicestoreusa.com and at Juice stores. The retail price tag is set at $120 and $130 USD respectively.
