Converse celebrates Latin American heritage with the “Mi Gente, mi Alegría” capsule. The collection is crafted for Latinx culture by Converse’s Latin-American designers. The collection celebrates the culture and heritage but, most importantly, celebrates the joyous spirit of community and family.
The collection features 3 of Converse’s staple silhouettes, including the Converse All Star, its evolution, the Chuck 70, and the fashionable Run Star Legacy CX. The classic All-Star is dressed in muted tones with a patterned upper and gradient striping on the foxing. The Chuck 70 features a blend of pastel hues and a patterned up finished with a clean white midsole and a brilliant gradient patch paying homage to the vitality of the culture. The Run Star Legacy CX is more muted than the other two, but the bold sole unit with its tie-dyed pieces adds a comparable energy level. Each sneaker is completed with “mi gente” branding on the license plate, sockliner, and outsole.
