After joining as a Nike-sponsored team last fall, Florida A&M is getting a Nike Dunk Low collaboration. FAMU joins Clark Atlanta as a part of the upcoming Nike Dunk collection celebrating HBCUs.
The silhouette features a white leather base with orange overlays and laces. Green details appear throughout the sneaker including the Swoosh and the motto “WE BRAGG DIFFERENT” embroidered on the heel. The backside of the tongue bares another of the school’s mantras “STRIKE, STRIKE, AND STRIKE AGAIN!”
Other design details include “1887” embroidered on the heel where the “Nike” branding would normally be, the school’s rattlesnake mascot on the tongue, and FAMU lace dubraes. The look is tied together with a translucent outsole and “COLAC” or “College of Love and Charity” embroidered on the lateral forefoot.
A release date for the Florida A&M x Nike Dunk Low has been set for October 18 via Nike and select retailers.
