fragment design x Jordan Collection Out September 17th, Features Air Jordan 3, Air Cadence, & Apparel

After months of teases, the long wait is almost over. Hiroshi Fujiwara’s label fragment design and Air Jordan are teaming up on a full collection of footwear and apparel dropping September 17th. The collection will include an Air Jordan 3, apparel, and the debut of an all-new model dubbed the Jordan Air Cadence.

The Air Jordan 3 is without a doubt the highlight of this collection, with on-foot photos from Fujiwara and leaked images taking the sneaker world by storm. The AJ 3s features an all-white, pebbled leather upper and the removal of all of the shoe’s iconic elephant print accenting. In its place, uniform, black leather panels cover the entire lower perimeter of the shoe with a fragment’s lightning bolt logo stamped on the lateral side of the heel. Further fragment branding in black can be found underneath the translucent heel tab alongside an embossed Jumpman and Nike Air logo. A white midsole with Fujiwara’s trademark style code lettering in black can be found on the lateral side of the midsoles.

The release of the previously leaked fragment Air Cadences will also mark that model’s debut from Jordan Brand. While future iterations won’t feature the highly coveted lightning bolt logos or style code tooling, they’ll likely follow this release’s silhouette and use of materials. The shoe’s upper is mainly various shades of grey mesh with additional overlays of shaggy brown suede applied on the forefoot and heel. fragment’s logo is applied in light grey across the dark grey ankle collar while the style code appears on the white and black speckled portion of the midsole surrounding the exposed Air unit in the heel. The heel tab also features “fragment” text in all white. The construction of the shoe’s upper shares many similarities to the AJ Zoom 92 and the Jordan Delta. A yet to be unveiled collection of co-branded apparel will also be dropping alongside the shoes.
