Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Collection Releases in June

Before Virgil Abloh’s sudden passing, the visionary designer was set to release perhaps his most influential collection. Though his OFF-WHITE x Nike work has shifted the paradigm and blended the worlds of fashion, streetwear, and sneakers like never before, Abloh was set to raise the bar yet again with the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 collection that was previewed last summer.

The first installment of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 collection was released via auction as 200 pairs raised upwards of $25.3 million with proceeds going back to Abloh’s scholarship fund that helps the Black and brown designers of tomorrow with resources, mentorship, and more.

As the Air Force 1 celebrates its 40th anniversary, Abloh was set to work his magic once more through his lens and craft as LV’s Men’s Artistic Director.

All 47 pairs in the collection will be placed in an exhibition, starting on May 21 and ending on May 31 at New York City’s Green Point Terminal Warehouse, and will be open to the public. The Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low will be displayed in both physical and virtual form through “immersive spaces reflective of the designer’s domains of creation and presentation,” stated Louis Vuitton. “Coinciding with the exhibition, a number of corresponding installations will take place around New York City and the world.”

Nine pairs of the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force collection will release in June with early access going to Louis Vuitton community members, according to Complex‘s Brendan Dunne. The Lows will retail for €2,000 and the Mids for €2,500 in sizes 3.5 to 18.
