Multiple Retailers Close Doors In Solidarity For Jacob Blake, BLM

Following the response of multiple brands yesterday against the unjust shooting of Jacob Blake, several boutiques in the US have decided to temporarily close their doors as a sign of solidarity. Each shop understands that operating as business as usual and ignoring the injustices against Black people and other minorities would only distract the public from the important conversations that need to be happening. Each store has decided to use their platforms to advocate not only for justice for Jacob Blake but for real, systemic change across the country in regard to the gross misuse of power by the police against the Black community. Beyond closing shop, some boutiques such as KITH are going a step further and temporarily turning their SoHo, Brooklyn, LA, and Miami flagships into Voter Registration Booths ahead of this year’s election.
