The New Balance 2002R has been one of the premier sneakers of late, receiving collaborations from A BATHING APE, Joe Freshgoods, and thisisneverthat, to name a few. While all of these collections were popular and helped cement the 2002R as one of the best sneakers currently available, the 2020 “Protection Pack” really kicked it off.
New Balance is teaming up with New York’s own Extra Butter to release the follow-up to the Protection Pack, the “Refined Future,” ahead of the broader North American release. The colorways, inspired by iconic New Balance colorways, are Dark Navy, Vintage Orange, and Mirage Grey.
Alongside the sneakers will be a curated release of apparel inspired by the Wabi Sabi aesthetic, including hoodies, shirts, pants, and hats. The colorways will be available exclusively at Extra Butter locations and online on September 29. The price is set at $160 each.
