Adidas has had a fantastic start to the year and isn’t letting up any momentum. Many have been paying attention and noticed the refreshingly future-forward thinking in the most recent adidas basketball signature silhouettes, and that energy is being shared with the Originals line. Following popular collaborations from Wales Bonner, adidas has found yet another noteworthy designer to reinterpret the classic Samba sneaker. Some would say there is a rise in “quiet luxury” when it comes to the quality of product material and craftsmanship, and the Jjjjound x Samba is a great example of this.
The Canadian design studio has teamed up with adidas to add their minimalist twist to the iconic adidas’ Samba sneaker. The two colorways subtly combine premium materials and are entirely crafted in Germany by the most skilled craftspeople of one of adidas’ most respected German facilities. Images of the collaboration first started to hit social media in 2022, fueling anticipation for both brands. Both colorways of the Jjjjound x Adidas Samba will be available on 3/27.
