Since its release back in 1997, the Nike Air Penny 2 has been one of the hottest sneakers in Nike’s vault and immediately rose to prominence once it began getting retro releases in 2008. After a brief break the Nike Air Penny 2 has seen new life thanks in part to new collaborations like Social Status and a handful of new colorways. The Nike Air Penny 2’s renaissance of 2022 looks to continue into the foreseeable future with a new colorway of the sneaker being revealed. The silhouette features a white leather base with gray on its signature wavy midsole.
A hint of maroon accents the shoe in various places including the iconic piping, the rubber badge found on the lateral side, Penny’s 1 cent logo on the heel and Nike branding badge above the Air max unit on the heel. A release date for the Nike Air Penny 2 “Rosewood” has yet to be announced but look for it to be released via Nike and select retailers soon. A retail price of $200 has been set for the sneaker.
