Since the KD 4 was released in 2012, Kevin Durant has been honoring his late aunt Pearl, who passed in 2000 of lung cancer, with a pink colorway of his signature shoe. This upcoming colorway of the Nike KD15 “Aunt Pearl” comes dressed in the staple pink colorway.
The sneaker comes built with a blend of materials including a plush velvet tongue and heel suede counter. The sneaker features matching a pink TPU cage with prismatic swooshes resembling a diamond or stained glass while a shade of neon pink adds a bit of pop to the visible Air Zoom pod on the midsole.
Other details include rose graphics embroidered on the velvet tongue and suede heel, a rose graphic on the left pull tab and ‘Aunt Pearl’ on the right. Callouts to the Kay Yow Cancer fund and Aunt Pearl appear embroidered on the backside of the tongue.
A release date for the Nike KD15 “Aunt Pearl” has yet to be announced to look for it to be released via Nike and select retailers. A retail price of $160 has been set for the sneaker.
